Eurofins Scientific is hiring an IT Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to manage and secure its mission-critical hybrid cloud compute platforms in Bangalore. Operating within a massive decentralized laboratory data network spanning 59 countries, this role bridges traditional data center virtualization with modern automated cloud frameworks. You will oversee multi-platform environment availability, manage core file assets, and deploy automated system upgrades. The daily scope balances provisioning infrastructure as code, tuning virtualized clusters, enforcing patch compliance matrices, and conducting root-cause analysis on structural faults to protect international systems uptime.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• 3–5 years of dedicated professional experience operating within enterprise system administration and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
• Must possess a valid, active technical certification in Microsoft systems administration or VMware virtualization (holding an Azure Cloud certification is highly preferred).
• Proven hands-on depth administering VMware vSphere clusters—featuring operational fluency configuring ESXi hypervisors, vCenter management nodes, live migrations (vMotion), resource scheduling (DRS), high-availability frameworks (HA), and virtual storage blocks.
• Comprehensive technical competence managing, configuring, and hardening both Windows Server layouts and diverse Linux enterprise operating systems.
• Proficient deployment skills using Terraform for declarative cloud/virtual infrastructure provisioning and Ansible for configuration management and automated runbook execution.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise patch management architectures, including deployment, scheduling, and troubleshooting updates via tools like Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
• Practical experience handling Distributed File Systems (DFS), corporate file share permissions, and storage allocation metrics.
• Foundational familiarity or deployment exposure within major hyperscale cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong structural comprehension of core networking protocols, subnets, firewall routing tables, server hardware form-factors, and storage area network (SAN/NAS) utilities.
• Active participation in designing, testing, and running multi-site disaster recovery (DR) plans and system backup schedules.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving habits, sharp attention to detail, strong technical writing habits for drafting configuration runbooks, and highly effective English communication skills to interact within a complex global matrix environment.
